Lake Pukaki

Lake Pukaki with the Ben Ohau range in the back ground....
Lake Pukaki was formed when a glacier receded and ground out a valley..Which the glacier then melted and filled...The cloudy milky turquoise color of the lake is suspended glacial flour ..which is extremely small ground up quartz and feldspar which is formed from the Glacier grinding against the rock beneath it as it receds.....I did some learning while i was on my travels......Just some fun facts for you...
The ominous Mt. Cook.... It took 3 climbers lives while we where there...
Claiming Freedom and Happiness.....

Takin a shower....
